Is policia(in spanish) a policeman or policewoman?

Both ...





"El policia" means a police officer, whether it's a man or a woman. If you want to specifcally refer to a female police officer, you could say "el policia mujer."





"La policia" means the police **station**.|||It depends on the article. El polic铆a is a policeman and la polic铆a is a policewoman. For particular words in spanish, the main word says the same and only the article changes to show gender, like el dentista and la dentista.|||when you place the article un it is a policeman. When you place the article una then it si a policewoman. Policia by itself means either policeman or policewoman.|||It can be either.


"Un policia" is a policeman, or just a policeperson.


"Una policia" is a policewoman.|||i'm only in spanish one but i would guess policewoman, because female nouns usually end in a|||It can be used for a policeman or policewoman.|||policia its the same as police,it s for man and woman the same thing
