Trying to remember tv series, a lot like men in black but featured an american policewoman who is transfered?

it was set at the back of a chinese laundry, and no it isn't torchwood. It was an american show and was on the sci fi channel i think,. They investigated vampires, werewolves, spiderpoeple etc, and one of the assistants was a dwarf.
