How dangerous is it to be a policewoman?

I have three kids. Would it be far too dangerous and risky? Does anyone have any good links for information or statistics?|||over 10% of the nation's police officers are now women, death rates for women police officers are actually lower than the death rate of the population at large (not surprising, considering very few officers are 80 years old). i have some friends who are policewomen, i think it is great and although it does expose you to some risks that you may not otherwise face, it also prepares you to deal with things that you may randomly face regardless of weather or not you are a police officer-like self defense and things.

if you are interested in it-you should go for it.|||depends on the city!|||You shouldn't go into it without knowing that you could lose your life while on the job.|||life is always sweeten with a certain degree of risk. Any sort of job is surmounted to a certain degree of risk. Follow your heart and desire then to live a life of regret.|||depends on you.I Think there is nothing dangerous.|||Every job has its risk, but a policewoman has a higher risk that many other jobs

I wish you good LUCK|||What kind of officer to you plan to be? If you're working on the streets in can be very dangerous. Keep in mind that many hardened criminals are fairly muscular and sometimes hard for a conditioned man to handle. Can you physically stand up to this type of person? Can you act without pause and hesitation if needed, because some of the bad guys can. If you can handle the job, go for it. Sometimes it takes danger to let you know that you're still alive.|||It is no different than a woman in the armed forces. There are women who work as armed guards, security guards and sheriffs.

Check with your local library and research the article and journal databases. The librarian can guide you how to do this. You can even call them and they can help you over the phone. You get academic and scholarly information there that is sound and credible.

Best wishes!
