Good Luck|||You take a test which is basically a pass/fail to see whether you get to try out.
If you pass you need to start training. You need to be super fit. They put you through an obstacle course where you need to distance run, push, pull, climb, sprint and generally just push your body.
If you pass the physical aspect you have a psych test/interview.
If you pass the psych you have another general test.
They can tell you no at any stage. If you are accepted into the academy then thats when you really have to start studying.
Note: once you are past academy you no longer need to be super fit, but it is a bonus.|||All Australian Police Services would probably have much the same criteria.

School education is less important, but if you were bullied at school, that would make you more qualified.
If you are not seeking long term marriage that will be great too, school teachers and police force have the higest divorce rates, period, one sector wants to treat you like a kid, the other wants you to grow up.
If you are seeking respect, it's not going to happen, if you are happy earning a wage that is fine, but if you want to have a life rather than exist, have a look at other professions.
I do not hate cops, they are needed, but the majority are sent out to meet quotas, revenue is required, so they pick on easy targets, instead of solving real crime.
There is a saying back in England, if you were lost, ask a police man/woman for directions, nowadays you would not bother, because if you stopped to ask a valid question, the cop is more interested if you have a safety inspection or if your tires etc are legal.
Word on the street, never trust a cop, what a far cry from days gone by.
I wish you luck|||Pheonix, from looking at the criteria for getting into the Qld police I think you will find that there are small differences between states, in WA you no longer have a swimming test for example.
I don't know old you are but I hope your ideas of what being a policewoman entails are realistic.
My daughter recently became a cop and while her job sounds very interesting there are also a lot of really horrible things, people and situations that you will have to deal with, so make sure you do plenty of research before you make your decision.|||be tough as hell , start body building , and kiss your kids goodbye every time you go to work.
