How was the relationship different from others?|||right now my husband is only a military police officer but we have to deal with his long hours.. right now he is working 12-15 hour shifts...4 days working...2 days off... it sucks.. .he comes home and is tired and so i really only get to see him on his 2 days off... When he gets out of the Navy... he will join the civilian police force... I am hoping that the hours are a little better... you always have that fear that something might happen.... I am hoping that it will not hurt our marriage when he is a real cop... but only time will tell. I hear that police officers have one of the highest divorce rates... that makes me sad and scared.... :(|||Their job factors in more because being in law enforcement can be dangerous at times. Training or tactics is the key in making the difference between living or dying. This can have a real adverse effect on anyone's relationship. Also just knowing that the person is in harm way everyday can be the difference in a very stressful relationship.
